Common Questions from Production Teams
Can I bring a picture car or vehicle onto set?
Yes — vehicles can drive up the ramp directly onto the 2nd Floor Loft. Regular-sized vehicles and cargo vans fit easily. Please confirm measurements for sprinter vans or long wheelbase vehicles in advance. Our team handles all in/out driving for insurance purposes.
Is the studio suitable for dialogue and sound-sensitive scenes?
Absolutely. Both floors have excellent sound isolation and we regularly host interview shoots, documentaries, and scripted dialogue scenes without issue.
Can I use both floors simultaneously?
Yes. Many productions book both floors — using the 2nd Floor Loft for principal photography while running staging, wardrobe, or fabrication on the 1st Floor Workshop below.
How far is ODR Studios from Manhattan?
About 4 miles from SoHo — typically a 25-minute drive during counter-commute hours when productions are starting. Also accessible via NJ Transit or PATH to Newark Penn Station, an 8-minute walk away.
Is there parking for large production vehicles?
Yes. There's a day lot directly opposite the studio. For larger productions with cube trucks, RVs, and staging tents, we have a dedicated staging lot two buildings down, available by the day. Street permits on both sides of the street can also be arranged.
What's included with a studio booking?
All bookings include access to the full in-studio prop and furniture library (vintage furniture, industrial pieces, etc.). Vehicles and specific equipment are priced separately.
